Creighton second baseman Kyle Hess stepped to the plate in the bottom of the tenth with the winning run on second. The shift was on, as the second baseman played will into the outfield. Hess swung, connected, and roped a ball into right-center field just over the second baseman to score Ben North from second and complete Creighton’s sweep over the No. 13 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

The Bluejays protected their perfect record against ranked teams and in midweek games as they fought back from a pair of early deficits and knocked off the red-hot Chanticleers, taking home a 7-3 victory on Tuesday, April 23 and a 5-4 win on Wednesday.
